Bangkok - HM King Bhumibol Adulyadej will grant ILO Director-General Juan Somavia an audience at the Chitralada Palace this evening.
ILO chief Juan Somavia will receive an audience from HM the King at 5 pm.
The Chilean director-general traveled from Geneva where the ILO head office is located to attend the 20th Asean Labour Ministers Meeting.
Somavia will be the special guest at the meeting. He is known for his admiration in the self-sufficiency economic philosophy.
The meeting takes place at the Grand Hyatt Erawan Hotel, Bangkok.
Today is the second day of the meeting.
Senior officials and permanent secretaries for labour from the ten Asean member countries attend this meeting.
Permanent secretary for labour Mr. Chuthathawat Intarasuksri presided over today’s meeting, planning to present all agendas to the ministers meeting tomorrow.
