Trang - Thai officials met with Indonesian delegates to exchange opinions on trade and tourism. A joint committee will be set up to promote tourism between Indonesia and Thailand.
Mr. Salin Totabtiang, chairman of Trang Chamber of Commerce, led a group of Thai delegates to met Mr.Syafrudin Yahya, Indonesia’s commercial attache, Mr.Affan Hasibuan, consul-general and Mr. Mochammad Rizki Safart, economic consul, to promote trade and investment between the two countries.
Thai exports which are in high demand in Indonesia are automotive, chemical and agricultural products.
Thailand proposed a joint committee should be set up to promote the bilateral tourism.
The tourism promotion includes the Sumatra Island and Thailand’s five Andaman provinces.
