MANILA - Thai police experts joined other Asian nations to be trained together on combating militants who use biological weapons.
Delegates from Thailand were sent to attend the bio-terrorism program in Manila.
Other countries like Bangladesh, Bhutan, China, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines and Vietnam also sent their delegates to join the training.
"As bio-terrorism is a global threat, we must also respond in a global scale to prevent such incidents from happening and act adequately if it happens," Philippines police chief Avelino Razon said in the statement.
Mr. Razon said it was never too early to be prepared for the bio-terrorism though it was still quite new to the Asian community.
