Bangkok - The Election Commission resolved to issue a red card for the House Speaker Yongyuth Tiyapairaj, People Power Party’s party-list MP.
The EC began its investigation against Yongyuth’s Chiang Rai election fraud at 9.30 am.
The five-member panel read through the 15-page documents and three out of five members agreed to give the red card to the House Speaker.
The case will be further brought to the Supreme Court within two weeks.
Yongyuth Tiyapairaj will immediately stop doing his duty as the House Speaker if the Supreme Court accepts the case.
He will possibly be banned from the politics for five years if the case is not dismissed.
