งาน E3 2008 เสร็จสิ้นลงไปเป็นที่เรียบร้อยเมื่อสองสัปดาห์ก่อน เป็นธรรมเนียมปฏิบัติทุกปีที่หลังจากงานจบลงจะมีการประกาศรางวัลให้กับเกมที่นำมาแสดงในงานภายใต้ชื่อ Game Critics Awards ซึ่งในปีนี้ ดาวเด่นในงานก็คือเกม Fallout 3 และ LittleBigPlanet ที่คว้าไปได้ 2 รางวัล
"Fallout 3" เกม RPG สุดคลาสสิคจากค่าย Bethesda Softworks ที่เตรียมจะออกวางจำหน่ายในช่วงปลายปีนี้สามารถคว้ารางวัลไปได้ 2 ประเภท ได้แก่ Best of Show และ Best RPG "LittleBigPlanet" เกมบนเครื่องเพลย์สเตชั่น 3 เป็นเกมที่ถูกเสนอชื่อเข้าชิงในการแข่งขันประเภทต่างๆมากที่สุด และสามารถคว้าไปได้ 2 รางวัล ได้แก่ Best Console Game และ Best Social/Casual Game
