Leopard shark

San Juan Capistrano, California, UNITED STATES: This image obtained courtesy of the San Juan Hills Golf Club shows a two-foot (60 cm) long leopard shark on October 22, 2012 at the San Juan Hills Golf Club in San Juan Capistrano, California. Players were left stunned after the shark fell out of the sky and landed on the golf course, a club official told AFP on October 25, 2012. The leopard shark is thought to have been picked by an Osprey off the nearby Pacific coast, and dropped while over the facility, south of Los Angeles. The shark, still alive but with what appeared to be bite marks perhaps from a birds beak, was placed into water and rushed to the nearby Pacific Ocean where, after being still for a moment, began flipping around and swimming off. Director of Club Operations Melissa McCormack said We believe it got to the golf course by way of Osprey because there were puncture wounds with fresh blood under the dorsal fin... our proximity to the ocean and the fact that both leopard sharks and Osprey are common to the area also support that theory.
