LONDON (AFP) - British police said Tuesday they are trying to discover who broke into a property and killed a kitten in a microwave, before making off without stealing anything.
The pet's owner made the grim discovery when she returned to her home in Nuneaton, central England. The intrusion was believed to have taken place on the afternoon of November 26 or overnight.
"This was a cowardly act which will have caused indescribable suffering to a helpless animal," said police constable Ben Hood from Warwickshire Police.
"It is hard for any rational person to understand how someone could do this, and we need to find out who they are."
