Bangkok (AFP) - Porn fans are being enticed with cyber sex and virtual affairs as the adult entertainment industry adapts to survive in the Internet Age.
Trends at the AVN Adult Entertainment Expo ending on January 9, 2011 in Las Vegas included Internet video streamed wirelessly to televisions; remote-controlled intimacy, and augmented reality.
Technology themes at the event echoed those at the Consumer Electronics Show gadget extravaganza taking place at the nearby Las Vegas Convention Center.
Porn producers had software applications to deliver pictures and videos to smartphones or tablet computers. Online services touted high-definition movies streamed on-demand using the Internet. Films were going 3D.
In 2010, there were more than 28,000 participants attending the AVN Adult Entertainment Expo (AEE).
One of its highlights is that most of the adult entertainment stars show up during this entertainment expo. Fans can also have a chance to get the autographs, pictures as well as memorabilia.
The annual expo is sponsored by the Adult Video News Magazine (AVN) and usually takes place each January, according to wikipedia website.
The AVN expo is the largest adult entertainment trade show in North America, drawing about 20,000 attendees and featuring 171 vendors. The show ran through January 9, 2011.
