Bangkok (AFP) - Shelcy Sanchez is the first transsexual in Colombia to enter the political competition as the legislative elections are going to take place in next two months.
Sanchez is a member of the LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) community. She will be the first transsexual leader of Colombia if winning the elections. Colombia is divided into 32 departments and one capital district according to wikipedia website.
The Liberal Party and Conservative Party have dominantly taken control of the country for more than one hundred years.
