SEOUL (AFP) - Two Japanese tourists died from severe burns sustained in a blaze at an indoor shooting range in South Korea, bringing the death toll to 15 including 10 Japanese, hospital authorities said Saturday.
Akira Shimata, 37, died late Friday of a heart attack at Hana Hospital in the southern port of Busan despite receiving treatment for severe burns sustained in the November 14 blaze, a spokesman for the hospital told AFP.
Earlier on Friday, Ryohei Harada, 37, also died of multiple organ dysfunction syndrome and cardiac arrest despite treatments including skin grafting.
But Masaru Kasahara, the only survivor in the fire, was in stable condition, the spokesman said.
Police are still trying to determine the cause of the fire. President Lee Myung-Bak has called for a thorough investigation and urged South Koreans to be more careful about safety.
