Bangkok (AFP) - Japanese models presented various bikini swimsuits by Japanese apparel giant Sanai in Tokyo. The swimwear collection is for the next season.
Like other fashion products, Japan's swimsuits are either imported or based on designs developed elsewhere.
The road to a perfect design of swimwear has been quite bumpy. It takes time to design swimsuits which really fit Japanese people.
Japanese consumers take part in determining the global fashion trend, according to recent studies (as cited at http://www.mynippon.com).
