Bangkok (ASTV Manager Online) – THAIFEX-World of Food Asia 2009 will be held at the IMPACT, Muang Thong Thani during May 13-17.
Worldwide investors confirmed they would attend the food event here despite the swine flu scandal.
1,100 Thai and foreign companies agreed to hold their booths to present food products to participants.
140 firms were foreign food companies from 121 countries worldwide.
Not less than 95,000 participants are expected this year, and thermal scanners will be used to ensure safety.
Commerce ministry anticipated more than three billion baht of cash would be flowed at the event.
Food exports were also expected to reach 770 million baht.
