Bangkok (ASTV Manager Online) – SMS and MMS sending soared during Valentine’s Day, making this year’s love festival become sweeter than it used to.
Love messages were sent through SMS and MMS more this year. 12 million short messages were sent, reflecting 19 percent of growth whereas 800,000 multimedia messages were also sent, showing 48 percent increase.
To add more sweetness to the love festival, Advanced Info Service or AIS provided more various content services to serve this goal.
Music content has caught on and is still popular among its service users, according to AIS.
As for the calling melody service, love songs were downloaded and grew up to two times. Normally, 20,000 songs are downloaded daily.
The Music2Gether service also suited the Valentine festival and grew fivefold. 4,000 songs are usually downloaded daily.
It is apparent that sending love through mobile becomes a new trend, and has continually become popular among service users. Music can be used as a cupid to show one’s feeling toward another person anywhere and anytime.
