BANGKOK (AFP) - A British man has been arrested in Thailand and charged with the sexual abuse of underage boys in his native country, police said Thursday.
Andrew Simon, 48, was arrested in northeastern Burirum province on Wednesday evening while staying at his girlfriend's house, said Colonel Prasart Khaemaprasit.
Prasart said Simon had fled to Thailand from Britain two years ago and was wanted by British authorities in connection with the abuse of boys aged under 16.
"He accepts that he was the man on the warrant," Prasart said.
There was no immediate comment from British authorities.
