Bangkok - Thailand plans to host the World Tapioca Conference 2008 in November, expecting participants from more than 20 countries will join the event.
The Foreign Trade Department will join relating units to hold the event.
The conference is to present Thailand’s potential of being the leader and tapioca growing hub.
Thailand now leads the tapioca export market with highest share. Its tapioca exports value more than 90% of the world’s tapioca market.
Thailand’s major export markets are European Union, China, Taiwan, Japan and Indonesia.
Its exports tend to rise more and more.
Tapioca exports include the tapioca tablets, flour in the form of raw and process flour, and other products.
