Bangkok - 47.6% of Thai people thought the government’s six economic stimulus measures could deal with the high cost of living, according to Nida poll.
NIDA surveyed people’s opinions on the government’s six measures and dissolution during July 31-August 3.
1,920 respondents in Bangkok and adjourning provinces, northeast, central region, north and south joined to express their views.
49.7% said the six measures would be able to solve the economic problem a little.
55.9% of the respondents believed the measures would influence the next election.
People in all parts of Thailand except in the south thought the economic stimulus measures would help the government campaign for votes in the next election.
64.8% did not think the parliament dissolution would solve the political problem.
61% did not expect the dissolution in the next two months.
61.8% have not decided yet which party they are going to vote for in the next election.
However, those who already made up their mind which party they would vote for tended to like the Democrat Party more than the People Power Party.
