Bangkok - Pichit Post Office gave away limes and Tha Khoi pomelos when buying the postcards. The giveaway campaign was welcomed well by the football fans.
Pichit Post Office was decorated with the national flags and football photos of the Euro 2008 teams.
But the more unique thing was a pile of Tha Khoi pomelos.
A pomelo was given away for every 200-postcard purchase while five limes for every 100-postcard purchase.
The giveaway campaign was welcomed by lot of football fans. As a result, the postcard sales soared 9%.
The Euro 2008 has kicked off since June 7 and will run until June 29.
The limes and Tha Khoi pomelos were grown by the post office’s employees. The oversupplies made their prices drop. Thus, they were used in the campaign following the self-sufficiency economic philosophy.
