Bangkok - The Treasury Department offers the commemorative coins for the funeral service of the late Princess Galyani Vadhana.
Today is the first day of booking the commemorative coins. People can book their coins through the department’s offices nationwide and 17 financial institutions.
Those financial institutions include Krung Thai Bank Plc, Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives, Government Savings Bank, Government Housing Bank, KasikornBank, Bank of Ayudhya, Bangkok Bank and Kiatnakin Bank.
This is not to mention Thai Military Bank, Tisco Bank, BankThai, Siam Commercial Bank, Thanachart Bank, Siam City Bank, Land and Houses Retail Bank, Standard Chartered Nakornthon Bank (Thai), and Asia Credit Bank.
There are three kinds of the commemorative coins: golden, silver and copper. They are priced at 25,000 , 1,000 and 50 baht respectively.
Those who book the commemorative coins can get their coins from November 3 onwards.
Coins will be available until July 31.
