Bangkok - Foreign Minister Noppadon Pattama was said to hire the CNN to promote the tourist attractions in Thailand.
Former Sakon Nakhon Senator Maleerat Kaewka asked people to keep eye on Thailand’s tourism promotion scheme by the foreign minister.
Maleerat said Noppadon hired the CNN to help promote the tourist attractions here at a budget which might be up to ten billion baht.
No official contract was signed and 200-million-baht taxes were spent on the deal, according former Phrae MP Siriwan Prassachaksatru.
The deal was cut down to 200 million baht. But only 149 million baht were paid to CNN.
The government is set to call for the Royal Flora bid to raise funds to cover its spending.
She added that the poverty problem is still with Thai society while corrupt politicians are not punished.
