Bangkok - PM’s Office Minister Mr. Choosak Sirinil said the controversial flag issue was due to different cultures.
Mr. Veera Somkwamkid, chairman of the People Network Against Corruption, already filed a legal action against the ex-premier Thaksin Shinawatra.
The controversy is about Thaksin’s name on Thailand’s national flag.
Choosak said Thaksin explained that was done by Man Chester City fans due to different cultures.
Like PM Samak, Foreign Affairs Minister Noppadon Pattama said he believed Thaksin did not involve in the action.
Former primer minister Thaksin expressed regret about Man City fans’ action which hurts Thai people’s feeling.
He insisted the action was because the fans would like to show their admiration for him.
Thaksin will be back to Thailand on May 2.
