Bangkok - Prime Minister Samak Sundaravej plans to attend the third GMS Summit in Vientiane on March 30-31.
The six Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) countries include Thailand and Vietnam as well as China, Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar.
Samak will propose the tourism around the six Mekong subregion countries scheme at this summit.
He will also give a lecture on development of human resources for competition on March 31.
Samak will later inaugurate the Chiang Rai-Kunming-Laos Road and sign an agreement on telecommunications development and infrastructure network.
Previously, the premier met Vietnamese counterpart Nguyen Tan Dung on Monday, signing an agreement against human trafficking during his official visit to Vietnam.
