Bangkok - 57.8% of Thai people were not confident that the government would be able to solve the economic problem and 17.3% believed the security of income earning would still be worse in the next six months, according to Assumption University’s poll.
57.8% had no confidence in the government’s economic problem solving while 5.9% were confident the government would be able to solve the economic problem.
17.3% believed the security of income earning would still be worse in the next six months while 20.4% thought it would still be good.
80% of consumers had no plan to buy new houses, cars or electrical appliances in the next three months while 69.2% had financial problem due to lack of self-sufficiency way of life.
The gross happiness index remained at 6.49 and the interesting point was that those who lived a self-sufficiency life were happier than those who did not.
Finance Ministry tried to increase all groups of people’s income including raising the civil servants’ salaries.
