Bangkok - Deputy Bangkok Governor Mr. Phutthiphong Punnakant argued back a remark made by Culture Ministry’s director of cultural watch center, believing couples registered their marriages because of love not gifts.
Mr. Phutthiphong said all districts had to service the people and they often chose to marry on the Valentine’s Day.
People normally did their marriage register at Bangrak, Samphanthawong and Bangsue District due to their auspicious names.
He believed the couples did not register their marriages because they wanted to get giveaways. Rather, they carefully thought before making a decision to start their couple life.
He also said the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration would send its officials to 23 public parks to strictly prevent teenagers from improper behaviors.
