Volunteer group Project Recover announced earlier this week the plane carrying an 2nd lieutenant from Livermore, Calif., and 10 others was located on the floor of Hansa Bay, beneath 213 feet (64 meters) of water.

Relatives of 2nd Lt. Tom Kelly got the word after almost 74 years. A wave of exhilaration mixed with grief washed over family members.
