A lovelorn snail who failed to find a mate because of his unusually-shaped shell hit the headlines in Britain last week, after two potential partners got together and left him to share in parenting duties.

The University of Nottingham has launched a research project to match a left-handed snail, delicate and full of twists, explained his manager Angus Davison May 18, 2017.
