LOS ANGELES (AFP) - A section of the main terminal at Denver International Airport was temporarily evacuated Tuesday after the discovery of "suspicious items," officials said.
An airport spokesman told AFP that the alarm was sounded shortly before 3:00 pm (2100 GMT) after at least one suspicious package was found near the American Airlines ticket counter.
The discovery, coming in the wake of the terror attacks in Belgium, prompted police to evacuate the western side of the terminal but flights were not disrupted.
The airport, one of the busiest in the country, resumed normal operations later in the afternoon after police cleared the suspicious packages and no threat was found.
