LONDON (AFP) - Five facts on Tuesday, the eighth day of Wimbledon:
- Australia's Nick Kyrgios is bidding to become the first teenager to defeat a world number one at a Grand Slam since Rafael Nadal, his opponent on Tuesday, achieved the feat when he defeated Roger Federer at the French Open in 2005 aged 19 years 2 days. He is also bidding to become the lowest ranked player to defeat Nadal since number 690 Joachim Johansson at Stockholm in 2006.
- If Tommy Robredo beats Roger Federer he will celebrate his 100th Grand Slam match win.
- Milos Raonic is looking to follow Eugenie Bouchard's lead in the women's event and become just the third Canadian player -- man or woman -- in history to reach the Wimbledon quarter-finals. Appropriately, it will happen on Canada Day. Standing in his way is Kei Nishikori, who is bidding to become the first Japanese man to reach the quarter-finals since Shuzo Matsuoka in 1995.
- Maria Sharapova takes a 4-1 career lead over Angelique Kerber into her last-16 tie. The 2004 champion has lost just seven games in three rounds this year.
- Sabine Lisicki has her best Grand Slam results at Wimbledon. The 2013 runner-up has made at least the quarter-finals in her last four outings. She is now 22-5 at the tournament.
