SYDNEY (AFP) - A man was in custody on Thursday after he allegedly kidnapped, handcuffed and repeatedly sexually assaulted a Japanese woman, reportedly a tourist, in Sydney.
The suspect forcibly took the 29-year-old woman to his home on Tuesday, police said. He eventually let her go and she alerted police, who arrested the 48-year-old the next evening.
He has been charged with three counts of aggravated sexual assault and one count of kidnapping, and was due to face court later Thursday, police said.
