Bangkok (AFP) - Models presented outfits made of chocolate during an opening night of the New York Chocolate Show in New York. The event was dedicated to celebrate all chocholate things.
The 13th annual Chocolate Show, the largest show in the United States, was held by Event International (as cited at http://nychocolateshow2010.eventbrite.com). New York is seen as the chocolate hub of North America.
Chocalate firms, renowned chocolatiers as well as pastry chefs were broght together at this event officially starting from November 11 to November 14.
The four-day confection-based show gave the opportunity for both adults and children to join the fun-filled activities. Hightlights included six-foot-long train blowing white chocolate steam from its funnel, and was set amid chocolate-cake mountains, fir trees flaked with chocolate bark, and candy bunnies (as cited at http://newyorkkids.timeout.com).
Participating celebrities were Zac Young, Tina Cocolina, Queen of the Cupcakes, as well as Martin Howard who read his book to the audience on Saturday November 13 (as cited at http://newyorkkids.timeout.com).
The New York Chocolate Show was held at the Metropolitan Pavilion, and the admission was free for kids coming with adults.
65 companies reportedly presented their chocolates and chocolate-inspired products to access 12,000 members of the trade, consumers and press.
