Bangkok, THAILAND - Thai men inspect a used motorbike displayed during an auction of used motorbikes from a leasing company in Bangkok.
In 2009, sales of domestic motorbikes may contract further around 17-21 percent, forcing sales for the entire year to fall to 1,350,000-1,410,000 units according to a research company.
However, despite this serious contraction within the market amid recession affecting consumer purchasing power, the fact that they are more economical forces consumers’ attention to shift to family motorbikes, because of such features as energy-saving and low unit price tags.
