Bangkok - Trade volume between Thailand and Japan valued 1.48 trillion baht after the JTEPA agreement was enforced, according to foreign ministry.

JTEPA agreement has been effective since November 1, 2007.

Bilateral trade between the two countries increased 8.95 percent compared to the same period last year.

Exports accounted for 14.38 percent while imports were 21.94 percent.

Although Thailand had trade deficit with Japan, total trade volume valued more than 14 billion baht.

Japanese investors were the highest number in Thailand.

Trade value was 128,563 million baht in the first eleven months of this year, a 27.41 percent increase.

Believing the JTEPA agreement would add more value to the bilateral trade, the government set up 19 committees to support the investment and trade between Thailand and Japan.
