Bangkok - Thai people were distracted from political and economic problems when watching the Euro 2008 matches, according to Suan Dusit Poll.
1,169 respondents in Bangkok and adjourning provinces were surveyed on June 30.
48.83% said they had fun and were distracted from the political and economic problems.
12.79% had a chance to guess about the results while 9.30% learned about new-faced footballers.
43.14% were impressed by the exciting matches while 31.37% by each footballer’s excellent skills.
15.69% were impressed by the cheering atmosphere while 5.88% were happy that Spain defeated Germany.
51.56% were upset because their favorite teams could not get through the semi-finals while 23.44% were not happy as Germany was beaten by Spain.
3.13% were upset since the number of football gamblers rose more.
