Bangkok - The rice exports from April onwards should not exceed 650,000 tons per month so as not to affect the domestic rice stock, according to the Thai Rice Exporters Association.

Mr. Chookiat Opaswongse, chairman of the Thai Rice Exporters Association, revealed it is hard to set the rice price as it keeps changing due to high demand in the market.

Rice hoard now happens in Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong.

The Thai Rice Mills Association asked the government to clearly set the ceiling price for rice.

Rice exporters face loss as they bought rice at a high price and sold it at a low price.

Thailand, the world's largest exporter of rice, has produced more than enough for its domestic needs and for export.
