Bangkok - The Industrial confidence index rose from 79.8 in December 2007 to 86 in January 2008, the highest figure in the eight-month round.
620 sample groups were surveyed and the survey covered 35 groups of industry.
The rising confidence index was driven by soaring orders, sales, production and turnover, especially in the air-conditioner, auto parts, printing and paper packaging industry.
The industrial confidence index is expected to reach 102.6 in next three months and remain at the highest level in the 14-month round.
