BANGKOK - Prime Minister Samak Sundaravej will make official visits to neighbouring Myanmar and Vietnam in March, an official said Tuesday.
Samak will be in the junta-led country on March 6-7 and Vietnam on March 17-18, according to a source at PM’s Office Minister.
No further details were available, according to AFP. It is not known whether Samak will hold talks with Myanmar's junta leader General Than Shwe or not.
Samak's foreign trips come amid mounting speculation that former premier Thaksin Shinawatra is planning to return to Thailand from exile.
He denied rumors that he will meet Thaksin in Cambodia, where he is to make an official visit on March 3.
