June may be summer, but in this part of the world, it’s the #monsoon season and continuous rain after a very long and dry ‘summer’ in April. Twice we went down the same road, the first time on Thursday, but the rain and steep mud slid road was too dangerous, we turned back after 2 hours trying to get there. The next day, we pray the rain would not come and did it again. Going down an unpaved mudslide was scary. We had no phone signal, no chain for the wheels and rain was continuous all day, Thank you Kent Gregory for taking us to a village that has been your extended family for 38 years. Seeing the pride these mothers and daughters have created in their handiworks made me really miss #mymompatumwan, and also gave me a chance to observe the small details that makes life beautiful. #maehongsorn #maesariang #handicraft #handmade #sopmoeiarts
